In particular, he feels it’s tough to play 15 games of Dota a day at a competitive level, but that professionals can do it because they are more efficient and have a larger capacity, so they won’t get weary as quickly.
For the 2023 DPC season, Valve altered the format by separating the Division I and Division II schedules for each regional league into their own condensed, about three-week-long competitions. There will be greater wiggle space in teams’ DPC Tour schedules, allowing them to take breaks from the game or travel to other competitions. The extent to which this helps players with Puppey’s attitude remains to be seen, however.
