Through the use of a Last Chance Qualifier tournament, Valve will be adding two more teams to Dota 2’s largest event this year as part of an update that was made to the structure for this year, increasing the total number of teams that will be participating to 20.

Structure and Composition of the Teams
In contrast to the regional qualifiers that teams had to compete in to get to this point, the TI11 LCQ will consist of a complete group stage as well as a playoff bracket before sending two teams on to the TI-prope competition.
